Look at gold price movement since 1980 to 2007, Where gold price is heading ?, Does same story is going to be repeated?

Observing above graph, 

one can see between 1980 to 2007 ( nearly for 28 years ), 

there was no rise in gold price !!!!  

Does the same story is going to be repeated in future ?
